UNIQUE LOCAL PRODUCERS
Growing up in France meant having wine on the family table at meal times and later enjoying great bottles in restaurants. Such exposure encouraged getting to know local winemakers and develop taste for wine. When I moved to Canada, I immediately thought that I should bring that to Albertans. I want to provide people with opportunity to enjoy great value wines from fantastic winemakers that some biggest wine critics haven’t heard about yet!
CONNECTION TO THE REGIONS
Working as a fighter pilot in the French air force, I have been posted in every wine region of France: Loire Valley, Rhone Valley, Burgundy, north east of France, Bordeaux and Cognac. Flying over those lands I had unique opportunity to see all the geography and geology of the regions. Also, living there gave me the chance to visit the winemakers on regular basis. I got to develop a unique point of view and connections with those regions.
PASSION FOR SHARING GOOD WINE
Everyone heard about Italian “la dolce vita” way of life but not everyone knows about the French one. In France, we love socializing, meeting friends, at home or at the restaurant. It’s all about sharing and bringing something for our friends. And one of the things we love to share is wine. We always want to bring a “new gem” or “next best thing” and introduce it to our friends, drinking it together and start conversation around it. I always say that wine is the best “catalyzer" for friendships.
